The visualisation is based on the Shareholder Network of Austrian Companies. It displays Capital Sources and Capital Sinks. "Mountains" depict enterprises, which are positioned at the origin of a shareholder chain. The Republic of Austria is a shareholder of the ÖIAG, the ÖIAG is a shareholder of voestalpine AG, voestalpine AG is a shareholder of VA Intertrading AG. The VA Intertrading AG does not appear in the role of an investor. The Republic of Austria therefore is a Capital Source (mountain), VA Intertrading AG a Capital Sink (valley). All other enterprises in the shareholder chain are located between sink and source.
