The visualisation shows 4 important clusters of the US fortune 500 Director Interlock Network. The originally completely connected network has been clustered by a deviation of Newmans clustering algorithm.
Networks can be transformed into power landscapes. The centrality scores of all network elements are transformed into heights of a landscape. The landscapes are computed with standard GIS software. The x and y coordinates are taken from spring embedder algorithms that are frequently used in network analysis.
