Geographical visualization of results of the Austrian population census 2001 by use of geographic information systems (GIS). The city of Vienna is cut into about 1,300 regional neighborhoods. Visualizations like these allow to show the distribution of sociodemographic data in the neighborhoods in question. Like for instance the ratio of A-level persons, the ratio of university graduates, the average age of the inhabitants or quotas of the 15-45 year old. Dark spaces represent areas with higher ratios of the attribute in question within a particular neighborhood.
